Flor de Azar began with a question...
What if there was a delicious, versatile citrus liquor from Mexico?
Two longtime friends, one Mexican, one American, set out to make a next generation citrus liquor that celebrates the rich botanicals of Mexico. We sought out one Mexico’s most innovative, celebrated distillers – Maestra Destiladora, Hillhamn Salome.
We’re proudly made by women in Mexico City.
Flor de Azar is a product of Hillhamn’s distillery, Flor de Luna. Flor de Luna is an award winning, women-owned-and-operated micro-distillery located in the heart of Mexico City.
Since 2015, Flor de Luna has earned multiple Gold Medals at the International Spirits Competition in California for her own Mexican aperitivo brand, Xila. Hil has also distilled and incubated Condesa Gin, Cardenxe Sotol, Xila, and many others.
We are committed to making spirits with traditional methods that celebrate the agricultural diversity of Mexico.
Flor de Azar is a premium triple sec – a licor de cítricos that is made from all Mexican citrus and botanicals. We are inspired by the diversity of fruits and flowers available, and want to bring those flavors and the farms that grow them to the forefront.
We’re cocktail enthusiasts.
We’ve worked with countless bartenders, cocktail nerds, and hospitality heads to find the perfect balance of citrus, botanicals, and just a hint of spice.
Flor de Azar is sweetened with agave (not cane sugar) for a round, earthy flavor that sets it apart from other triple secs. This balance perfectly compliments tequilas, mezcals and sotols. It adds depth to classic cocktails with gin, vodka and rum, and makes for a perfect after dinner aperitivo.
We’re growing!
We’re adding craft distribution partners in both Mexico and the US. Curious about stocking us? Check out our Wholesale page to learn more.
